"This show is a mix between the almost-too-laid back Beacon Theater show of June 15th and Portland's pulsating experimental masterpiece of June 3rd. Strangely, the first set opens with Tennessee Jed. It also features one of the best (and only) Grateful Dead renditions of the Jerry Band classic Mission in the Rain. Lazy Lightning/Supplication is the highlight of the first set. The slower pace of '76 helps this song. It can be a bit overwhelming in '77-'79. However, the band makes the most of it and creates a jazzy exploration that doesn’t run out before the end.
